Numerous activities and attractions and a harmonius blend of old and new make Darling a wonderful year-round tourist destination.

It is part of the West Coast Biosphere Reserve, and its environment is a seasonal kaleidoscope of wheat fields, vineyards and the immense beauty of the wild flowers in Spring.

South Africa's favourite tannie, Evita Bezuidenhout, entertains at Evita se Perron. There's a Butter Museum, Victorian Architecture, Wine Estates for tastings and sales, an orchid nursery and a gallery of work by local artists. A basket factory. Golf, tennis and bowls. And the community's annual Passion Play and annual Spring Flower Show (it's been running since 1917). Spend some time exploring the village with its many quaint antique, craft, and gift shops and gallaries.

Less than an hour's drive from Cape Town on the West Coast road, Darling is half an hour from the West Coast Casino at Club Myknonos and 45 minutes from the biggest shopping centre in Africa.
