Baobab Tree - Mozambique

According to The Oprah Magazine, January 2006 issue, Mozambique is the only place on earth where the baobab tree grows on the beach.

" LEGEND has it that when the giant baobab was created, it was the most beautiful tree in the Garden of Eden - but also the vainest. It complained that none of the places where the Creator offered to plant it did justice to its beauty. Eventually, to teach the arrogant baobab a lesson, the Creator planted it face down, with its roots reaching into the air. From that day, the baobab has been known as the 'upside down' tree. "
