Grabouw
Grabouw is home to a very special farming community. Located in the mountains just over Sir Lowry's Pass, it is a jewel to behold during winter time. There is a great farmstall on the N2 called Peregrine, with freshly baked bread and produce from the farms. The region is famous for its apples and recently wine farms like Kanu.
Grabouw has found recent fame by 2005 South African Idols winner Karen Kortje being from there. You will always travel through Grabouw on your way to the Garden Route, so make sure to stop along the way for a breather.
