Prince Albert

Prince Albert nestles at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains, just minutes from the Swartberg Pass. Water flows through the streets in furrows, bringing life to lovely gardens and creating a sense of peace. The village boasts well preserved architecture from Karoo cottages to Victorian homes and our own Prince Albert Gables. Visit the Fransie Pienaar Museum, our art galleries, weavery and shops. Join our storyteller on an historical or a ghost walk. View the night skies with a professional astronomer. Enjoy an aromatherapy session at one of our wellness centres. There's accommodation to suit every taste and pocket, excellent coffee shops and restaurants and some magnificent scenic drives. We hold several festivals annually, the Olive Festival takes place each April. Visit www.patourism.co.za for more details about Prince Albert. Subscribe to our monthly e-mail newsletter The Olive Branch at princealberttourism@intekom.co.za. There are 5 facilities listed in Prince Albert below. Please scroll down if necessary:
(The facility with the most recent ScapeNote will move to the top of the list.)

If the tourist facility in Prince Albert that you are interested in does not appear above, please feel free to add it. It does not cost anything!

Add your own Facility and ScapeNotes in this discussion forum (bulletin board) regarding Prince Albert backpacker's hostels, hotel accommodation, B&B's, Prince Albert restaurants, 4x4 routes, art and craft shops, galleries, Bed and Breakfast accommodation, etc. What will attract tourists to Prince Albert? What do you want to ask about something in Prince Albert? Mention anything that is tourist-related - hiking trails, unusual accommodation, festivals, museums and Prince Albert scenic attractions - question or discuss anything that can hold a visitor's attention for more than 10 minutes! The list carries on: birding, rock formations, mountain passes, drives, river cruises, wine cellars, wine tasting and sales, fishing spots, beaches, car hire, bus tours, etc., etc. - the tourism possibilities are endless . . . . .

Anybody can add a facility - Guests, owners, managers, potential visitors, aspirant travel writers, amateur or armchair critics - absolutely anybody. You do not have to be the owner of the facility - you can be a less than satisfied visitor honestly telling of your unhappy experience at a facility. Hopefully a subsequent visitor comes along and tells us that all is well now. (We may edit or delete your note if think that it is out of line, but don't let that stop you from trying!)

Golf clubs, watersports, caravan parks and camping accommodation, cinemas, pleasure resorts, quad bikes, bazaars, theatres, . . . . . . surprise us with what is in Prince Albert!

Sorry, there is no information about Prince Albert at the moment. Can anyone please tell us something - for example a contact telephone number, opening hours, location, tariffs, etc. The owner or manager of Prince Albert is welcome to introduce and promote their facility here, but other interested persons do not have to wait for the formal introduction. Any help will be very much appreciated, thank you. (This request will disappear as soon as the first ScapeNote is added below)
