  In the town of:

Lambert's Bay

Diamond of the West Coast
Does your heart long for unspoilt beaches of soft sand, enjoying the most spectacular sunsets, whilst fishing vessels gently make their way into the harbour close by, or does your idea of a getaway mean ADVENTURE! Quad bikes, 4x4 dune expeditions, surfing, sandboarding or watersports? Whatever your idea of the perfect holiday, Lambert's Bay, a quaint fishing village and holiday resort provides for your every need.

Lambert's Bay provides some of the best bird watching in the Western Cape. The jewel in the crown is undoubtedly the readily accessible seabird breeding colonies on the internationally famous Bird Island, which is the most accessible Cape gannet colony in the world.

Lambert's Bay is also famous for its crayfish in season (November - April). Whales are sighted in season and the nearby sand dunes offer quad biking or 4x4 enthusiast the ultimate adrenalin rush! Historical monuments and the local museum offer those looking for "deeper meaning" a place to wonder! Be it a holiday, business trip or weekend away, Lamberts Bay is where to stay!

Add your own Facility and ScapeNotes in this discussion forum (bulletin board) regarding Lambert's Bay backpacker's hostels, hotel accommodation, B&B's, Lambert's Bay restaurants, 4x4 routes, art and craft shops, galleries, Bed and Breakfast accommodation, etc. What will attract tourists to Lambert's Bay? What do you want to ask about something in Lambert's Bay? Mention anything that is tourist-related - hiking trails, unusual accommodation, festivals, museums and Lambert's Bay scenic attractions - question or discuss anything that can hold a visitor's attention for more than 10 minutes! The list carries on: birding, rock formations, mountain passes, drives, river cruises, wine cellars, wine tasting and sales, fishing spots, beaches, car hire, bus tours, etc., etc. - the tourism possibilities are endless . . . . .

Anybody can add a facility - Guests, owners, managers, potential visitors, aspirant travel writers, amateur or armchair critics - absolutely anybody. You do not have to be the owner of the facility - you can be a less than satisfied visitor honestly telling of your unhappy experience at a facility. Hopefully a subsequent visitor comes along and tells us that all is well now. (We may edit or delete your note if think that it is out of line, but don't let that stop you from trying!)

Golf clubs, watersports, caravan parks and camping accommodation, cinemas, pleasure resorts, quad bikes, bazaars, theatres, . . . . . . surprise us with what is in Lambert's Bay!
